Boston Marathon

This video was made for SCAD District and is response to to the Boston Marathon Bombings.

This video shows the basic timeline of the Boston Marathon Bombings (April 15-19, 2013). During just one week the United States experienced a great turmoil of emotions as trying to pinpoint the reasons why and who. The government, the media, and especially social media were trying to search for answers and all effected each other, similar to Newton's law of motion ("For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction").

Cuba Documentary
Havana.png

A new documentary that I'm editing for a Senior Thesis class. Here are some of the screenshots of some of the footage that they shot:

The filmmakers spent about 15 days in Havana, Cuba filming various locations in Havana as well as its people. Its simply stunning seeing a different way of life.

Wet Clay

Here is the finished product for Wet Clay!

WET CLAY STORY

The name “Wet Clay” stems from the idea of being mold-able and open to infinite possibilities. This is a philosophy that carries through many aspects of the Wet Clay brand, striving not to be limited when creating unique designs and products.

The Wet Clay brand was created from a desire to make beautiful products out of materials that would otherwise go unused. This project began in 2011 when Bre was working at a high end furniture store in Savannah, Ga. It quickly became a goal to find a use for all of the discontinued leather samples that had to be discarded. All of the Wet Clay cuff bracelets are made of reclaimed, top grain upholstery leather; and because each piece of leather is unique no two bracelets are exactly alike.

BIO

Bre Walters is a Georgia-based designer who began Wet Clay as a passion to create something new and unique from otherwise unused materials. From a young age Bre has pursued many areas of art including set design, illustration, and fine art. When designing, she loves to combine natural or raw elements with clean and geometric form. These are the aesthetic qualities found in her designs for Wet Clay.

Okefenokee Documentary

Very close to picture lock with the Okefenokee documentary. The documentary is about how fire can really rebuild and create something entirely new. Okefenokee Swamp which is located is Southern Georgia and Northern Florida is less than 400,000 area black water swamp. In spring 2011 it was struck by lighting which caused about 75% of the swamp to be consumed by fire.

But this is not the first forest fires. Okefenokee is able to start growing again and create a new environment each time there is a fire, similar to the mythical phoenix.
