Roadtrip - Day 2 - Notch Trail

We stayed the night right at the Badlands - which was extremely eerie waking to the morning light.

We decided to do Notch Trail - which is not a hard trail - just with some very intense stairs. It's a total of 1.5 miles roundtrip. In which we saw a stunning view of the White River Valley.

After the trail - we started heading towards Sundance, Wyoming for our rest stop. But no before we took a quick detour to go see Mount Rushmore - which is pretty impressive that there are four faces carved out of a mountain.

On the way to Wyoming we hit a huge storm that had some tornado warnings. We should totally be fine in our tent, right?? (Yes we were... made for an entertaining night)

Actually the storm looks quite beautiful

Ok... never mind about it being pretty...

Roadtrip - Day 1 - Badlands

Left Chicago in the wee hours of the morning to start heading over to the Badlands in South Dakota. It was about an 17 hour drive... with many stops that included Blue Earth, MN and a tourist trapped called Wall Drug.

Decay - May - Group 312 films

And there is a strange last minute shoot which was originally supposed to be a camera test for the Digital Bolex and then kinda turned a little weird - here are a couple stills from the shoot.

Deep Dark Fears - Shoot Stills

Here are some of the stills from the shoot for Deep Dark Fears "If I Die..." It was a great shoot and now in the editing process...

Below are a couple shots from behind the scenes.

It's that time of year that everything is cold. Early February there was a blizzard that I took a short trip to the lake to see, but more then anything I felt the cold.

#LikeAGirl

For young girls, confidence plummets during puberty and many never fully recover. Always is on an epic battle to end that by changing the meaning of the phrase #LikeAGirl from an insult to mean downright amazing things. It's inspiring to us, knowing that our original film started to change perceptions.

Very happy to share a spot that I assisted edited, Kathryn Hempel cut the spot together to create this moving piece about young women. Its a shorten :60 version of the longer three minute version. Another excited thing about this spot is that it will air at the 2015 Superbowl!

It really did have a village work on this spot and I'm glad that I was able to be part and help out on it. To see the full version of the spot to the right.

It's an amazing message to young women or anyone to any age. It was definitely an inspiration to work on them.
