Nazi Art Theft
Art is a reflection of culture. It can either be coveted or rejected. Adolf Hitler took special care of taking classical works such as paintings during the Dutch period but Modernist work as well as Polish art work were to be destroyed. During the height of the war about 95% of Polish artwork was missing. Today about of all artwork taken during WWII is still missing.
